That’s why, beginning this September, Thriving Together NCW is joining local organizations to launch Our Shared Democracy, an initiative that makes it easier to connect with civic life across North Central Washington. From voter registration and educational events to community conversations, this initiative is designed to help you find ways to learn, get involved, and make your voice heard.

Why is it important to exercise civic muscle?
The decisions being made across the region actively shape the places we live, work, learn, raise families and build community. Getting involved gives you a chance to better understand those decisions, share what matters to you, and have a voice in the future of North Central Washington.
Civic engagement doesn’t have to mean becoming an expert or making a huge commitment.
It can start with learning about an issue, attending an event, registering to vote, joining a community conversation, or simply finding out what’s happening around you. Every connection is an opportunity to become a more informed and active member of your community.
