How can I gain access to the resources and benefits listed on this page?
At Thriving Together NCW, we use the Vital Conditions framework to work upstream, addressing the fundamental factors that shape health and wellbeing over time. Instead of solely reacting to crises as they arise, we are committed to creating meaningful, lasting change that will benefit future generations. When we invest in the conditions that increase individual and community wellbeing, we are actively working to prevent issues from escalating into crises.
To make the greatest impact, we need a network of partners who are equally committed to this approach. By investing in the vital conditions today, we are creating the opportunity for generations to come to truly thrive.
To take advantage of the resources outlined on this page, your organization must be an official member of Thriving Together Network. Official members are those who have completed the network application which involves reading and agreeing to uphold the commitments outlined in the Partner Agreement.
Being a member of the Thriving Together Network not only connects you with all the great resources listed on this page, but also fosters collaboration and support among a network of like-minded organizations committed to advancing the wellbeing of North Central Washington. Thriving Together NCW Annual Awards
The Thriving Together NCW Annual Awards were created to honor stewards of shared measurement and those uplifting rural communities so that all may feel they belong.
This year’s recipients will be announced at the 2026 Thriving Together Summit on October 21st. Click the link below to learn more about these awards and nominate someone in the community.
Volunteer to Serve on the Awards Evaluation Committee
As part of this year’s awards process, we are seeking a small group of thoughtful volunteers to serve on the Annual Awards Evaluation Committee. Committee members will help review nominations and recommend this year’s award recipients.
Time Commitment:
Committee members will independently review applications, participate in a short virtual discussion to share perspectives, and help recommend awardees. The time commitment is minimal and will take place over a few weeks in August. If you value collaboration, community wellbeing, and celebrating the people making a difference across our region, we would love to have you involved.
Creating Stronger Communities with Catchafire
Thriving Together NCW has partnered with Catchafire, a service that connects organizations like yours with skills-based volunteers and offers educational programming for nonprofits customized to your size and staff capacity. Catchafire provides access to volunteers who can assist with a variety of services, including but not limited to:
Strategic planning
Translating handouts
Updating your website
Designing infographics
Collaborating on fundraising strategies

Girls on the Run Columbia Basin, $40,000
Through mentorship and physical activity, Girls on the Run helps girls build confidence, life skills, and meaningful relationships.
Support from this grant will allow for expanded programming, including enhanced coach training, girl-led service projects, and a community 5K event.

Thrive Chelan Valley, $10,000
Thrive Chelan Valley supports youth with mentorship, life skills, and access to essential resources.
With this funding, programming at the Chelan and Manson Teen Centers will grow to include workshops on financial literacy, job readiness, and emotional wellness, along with meals and hygiene supplies to support stability and independence.

CAFE creates opportunities for youth and families through education, mentorship, and community support.
The organization’s Youth Empowerment Services (YES) program will be strengthened through this funding opportunity by supporting mentorship, academic support, leadership development, and workshops on financial literacy and career exploration.

Highlands Community Support Coalition, $40,000
Highlands Community Support Coalition is dedicated to strengthening rural communities through collaboration, resources, and community-driven initiatives.
Grant funds will support the creation of The Guild Art Center and Gallery in Oroville, transforming a vacant storefront into a hub for arts, education, and community connection.

The Nature Immersion Program, $40,000
Connecting youth to land, culture, and identity, the Nature Immersion Program offers outdoor, culturally grounded education.
This grant will support the implementation of the Cyaʕmílx (Four Food Chiefs) SEL curriculum for Indigenous youth on the Colville Reservation, including a summer culture camp and classroom-based programming.

Chelan Valley Housing Trust, $25,000
Chelan Valley Housing Trust works to create permanently affordable housing for local residents.
This investment will support operations and development efforts to expand homeownership opportunities through a community land trust model, including the creation of new homes.

The City of Omak is dedicated to serving and strengthening its community through public services and local initiatives.
Grant funds will support youth engagement and community policing programs that build positive relationships between law enforcement and young people through school outreach, events, and skill building activities.

Indigenous Roots & Reparation Foundation (IRRF), $40,000
Grounded in cultural education and land-based learning, the Indigenous Roots & Reparation Foundation focuses on uplifting and strengthening Indigenous communities.
Utilizing funds from this grant, the organization will be launching its 2026 Culture Camp, offering traditional practices, cultural connection, and land-based education for Tribal members and the broader community.

WVC MESA is committed to advancing opportunities for low-income and first-generation students in STEM through academic support, professional development, and experiential learning.
Grant funds will support paid workshops and partnerships that provide skills, mentorship, and pathways to high-demand STEM careers. This work promotes equitable opportunities, civic engagement, and long-term regional growth in North Central Washington.

NAMI North Central Washington is championing equitable mental health support through peer-led programs and community engagement.
Grant funds will support hiring part-time staff to strengthen volunteer infrastructure, allowing volunteers to lead culturally responsive support groups for youth and Hispanic/Latino communities.

Stage Kids is cultivating creativity and leadership in youth through performing arts programs that enhance confidence and social emotional well-being.
Funding will directly support hands-on learning, a musical outing, and a free summer camp for youth in Chelan and Grant counties. This initiative promotes belonging, skill building, and sustainable growth in the arts community.

Methow At Home supports individuals through the transitions of aging with dignity and respect by fostering a vibrant, multi-generational community rooted in joy, connection, and mutual appreciation.

The Wenatchee River Institute creates opportunities for individuals of all ages and walks of life to appreciate our natural resources, learn about its history, and find community in the process.
Grant funds will support the Traveling Naturalists program, providing outdoor learning experiences that foster confidence, environmental awareness, and wellbeing for 4th and 5th grade students.

Promoting environmentally responsible practices and community engagement across the region is at the heart of Sustainable NCW’s efforts.
Funding will support educational programs and resources that encourage waste reduction, alternative transportation, and eco-friendly habits.

Ephrata Forward is dedicated to building inclusive community engagement and supporting long-term planning in Ephrata.
Grant funds will support a centralized community calendar, diverse focus groups, and the development of a five-year action plan, ensuring residents feel seen, heard, and welcomed.

Okanogan County Child Development Association, $10,000
Okanogan County Child Development Association (OCCDA) has supported young children and families for over 50 years through early childhood education and prevention-based services, as well as providing classroom and home visits across Okanogan County.
Grant funds will support bilingual, no-cost programs including peer-led support groups, community activities, and an annual Community Connection Baby Shower.

Methow Conservancy is dedicated to protecting the natural environment and supporting the ecological and cultural vitality of the Methow Valley.
This grant will help sustain local agriculture by advancing creative land protection strategies, connecting farmers to accessible land, and offering education and resources.

Focused on prevention and positive youth development, Quincy Partnership for Youth empowers young people to lead healthy, connected lives.

The Vital Conditions Network Directory is a new interactive resource designed to help you explore and connect across our regional network.
The directory features participating organizations and members displayed through a shared map and organized by the Vital Conditions framework. It offers a clear, accessible way to see who is part of the network and how partners are connected across North Central Washington. This tool is intended to support relationship building, increase visibility of ongoing work, and strengthen coordination among organizations working toward thriving communities. The directory is a living resource and will continue to evolve as the network grows.
