Exclusive Network Benefits

Thriving Together NCW is excited to offer new, exclusive benefits to members of our network who are focused on working upstream and utilizing the Vital Conditions framework to do so.

How can I gain access to the resources and benefits listed on this page?

At Thriving Together NCW, we use the Vital Conditions framework to work upstream, addressing the fundamental factors that shape health and wellbeing over time. Instead of solely reacting to crises as they arise, we are committed to creating meaningful, lasting change that will benefit future generations. When we invest in the conditions that increase individual and community wellbeing, we are actively working to prevent issues from escalating into crises.

To make the greatest impact, we need a network of partners who are equally committed to this approach. By investing in the vital conditions today, we are creating the opportunity for generations to come to truly thrive.

To take advantage of the resources outlined on this page, your organization must be an official member of Thriving Together Network. Official members are those who have completed the network application, thus reading and agreeing to uphold the commitments outlined in the Partner Agreement.

Being a member of the Thriving Together Network not only connects you with all the great resources listed on this page, but also fosters collaboration and support among a network of like-minded organizations committed to advancing the wellbeing of North Central Washington. 2025 Vital Conditions Grantmaking Process

Investing in Upstream Solutions for Community Wellbeing

Thriving Together NCW is committed to strengthening North Central Washington by investing in upstream initiatives that foster the Vital Conditions for Health. This funding opportunity supports projects that drive prevention and enhance community wellbeing.

Funding Overview & Eligibility

For this funding cycle, $250,000 has been allocated to support upstream interventions that are connected to the vital conditions. Funding is available to our Network Members for $10,000 – $40,000 for early-stage concepts, pilot efforts, new or existing programs, community engagement activities, established collaborations, regional initiatives, scalable interventions, and/or coalition building. This funding opportunity is intended to help small programs or new initiatives get off the ground and build early momentum.

In the context of this grantmaking process, upstream refers to addressing the root causes of community challenges rather than only responding to immediate needs or crises. Upstream solutions aim to prevent problems before they occur by focusing on the conditions that influence people’s health and wellbeing. By investing in upstream approaches, we support sustainable, long-term improvements that help communities thrive—not just survive.

Instructions for submitting an application:

#1. Please closely read this information on the Vital Conditions before you apply as you will be asked to share which Vital Conditions your project will address.

#2. You will be asked to submit a file that includes information about the budget for the project. Please use this template and upload your completed version in the application submission when prompted.

#3. The application does not allow for you to save your work and come back to it later so we recommend working through the questions in a separate document and then copy and pasting your work into the form fields when you’re ready to submit.
